Cardiff vs Preston North End Prediction & Betting Tips - Championship

Cardiff City host Preston North End at the weekend and the Bluebirds boss Erol Bulut will be hoping his team don't leave it quite as late as they did in the reverse fixture earlier this season to land the win. In that game, Preston led with a first half goal, but Robbie Brady was sent off for the Lilywhites allowing Cardiff to pen the home side back. Preston hung on to the 96th minute before Cardiff equalised, but then the Bluebirds grabbed a 99th minute winner to claim an unlikely win. Since then Cardiff's form has been a little up and down. They tend to either win or lose games, drawing relatively few and it has arguably been this inability to snatch points in games they are losing which has been the reason they lie 13th in the table at present on 40 points. A 1-0 win at Watford last weekend though put them back on track. 

Preston also enjoyed a good win last weekend, defeating Ipswich 3-2 in what proved to be a nailbiting second half for home fans. leading 3-0, Preston saw their lead cut by two goals from on-loan Kieffer Moore for Ipswich but the Lilywhites hung on at Deepdale to record an important win. That made it two home wins in a row for PNE but their away form is not as impressive as they are without a win in their last four away games. Preston boss Ryan Lowe will know that his team is going to have to start picking up more points on the road if they are to make a move towards the playoffs over the remaining third of the season, but the Cardiff City Stadium can be a tough place to go and pick up points for visiting teams.
