A lot can happen in the space of a few days in football and Manchester United now begin life after Jose Mourinho. The defeat at Liverpool was one too many for United's owners and Tuesday saw Mourinho sacked. The following day, Ole Gunnar Solksjaer became their interim manager and he kicks off his spell in charge by visiting the team he used to manage. There are too many talented players at Old Trafford for them to be playing the way they have this season. It wouldn't be a massive surprise at all if those players who have been in bad form of late suddenly improve dramatically now Mourinho is no longer in charge. Away from home this season they have only won one of their last six league games but have managed to score nine goals in those games. If Solksjaer can sort out their defence, then results will improve.

Cardiff City are 16th in the table and only two points above the bottom three.and by the time this game kicks off, they might be back in the relegation zone. It's their home form which is preventing them being stranded at the bottom of the league. 13 of their 14 points have been earned on home territoryand they have won four of their last five at the Cardiff City Stadium. Those wins have come against Fulham, Brighton and Hove Albion, Wolves and Southampton so not the cream of the crop. Home games against Arsenal and Manchester City saw them concede eight times and only Fulham have conceded more home league goals this season. A giant may awake this weekend, go for United to get the away win.
