Cardiiff City continue to struggle in the Premier League and lost again last week, going down 1-0 at home to Leicester City. That leaves the Welsh side 19th in the table with only Fulham (the only team they have beaten this season in the league) but only a point from the 17th place they'd gladly finish in at the end of the season. Nine of their 11 league games have ended in defeat and have four points from six home league games, In terms of goals, they put four past the leaky defence of Fulham but their other ten games have only produced five goals and only Murphy and Patterson have managed to score twice this season.

Their opponents are 12th in the table but a healthy nine points above the bottom three. Their main problem is playing away from home and last week saw them lose 3-1 at Everton. Their last 19 away league games have only produced one win and that was this season at relegation threatened Newcastle United. Only twice in those 19 away games have they managed to score more than once in a match. Before the loss at Everton last week, goals had been in short supply in games involving Brighton and the previous four had all seen under 2.5 goals scored with only five goals being scored. The tip here is for under 2.5 goals to be scored in this match.
