If the season ended after three games, Cardiff City would be 15th and safe for another season in the Premier League despite not winning a game or scoring a goal. The Welsh side face an almighty battle to stay out of the bottom three and have a scary fixture list for the next month or so. They start off with this home game against Arsenal and after the international break they face Chelsea and Manchester City with Tottenham and Liverpool before the end of October. Three games so far have seen them lose 2-0 at Bournemouth and then have two goalless draws with Newcastle (who missed a last minute penalty) and Huddersfield. No goals but two points in the bag though they still look relegation certainties and just scoring would be a start for them.

Arsenal have three points from their three games, six off the top four and they can't afford mistakes in games such as this. Last season their away form was appalling and already they have been beaten away at Chelsea this term. After losing their opening two fixtures, they finally got off the mark with a home win over West Ham and have a decent run of fixtures with no games against sides who finished in the top five last season until early November. If Arsenal do want to get back into the top four then this is the kind of game they have to win. They put in a decent performance away at Chelsea and can be backed to get an away win here.
