The AFCON 2021 hosts Cameroon have been part of the qualification process and they’ll need just a draw in their final Group F clash at home to Rwanda, to be able to confirm top spot. No matter the outcome, Cameroon are already in. The hosts top the group on 10 points while Rwanda are third with five points. Cameroon have three straight losses heading to this game and their last was away to Cape Verde, where they lost 3-1. At home, Cameroon are unbeaten in their last 19 AFCON qualification matches, winning 15 and in the last 10, keeping eight clean sheets.

Meanwhile, Rwanda badly need a win here to make their qualification homes a reality. However, their fate isn’t entirely in their hands; they are hoping Mozambique can beat Cape Verde in the other game in this group. Rwanda revived their hopes with a 1-0 win over Mozambique in their last game and will be hoping for a small favor from them now but they have to improve on this run of two wins in five matches. The win over Mozambique was their first in 13 AFCON qualification matches and they have lost seven but they have three straight clean sheets. Away from home in AFCON qualification matches, Rwanda have no win in seven and they’ve failed to score in four straight away matches in the qualifiers.
