Cameroon and Namibia will be playing the second of their Group C matches in the 2024 African Cup of Nations qualification, a game that will be hosted by Cameroon. Cameroon tops the group with three points and Namibia have one, in third place. This group has three teams following Kenya’s suspension at the time of the draws and a win for either of these nations will be key in their qualification run. Cameroon beat Burundi 1-0 in their only game in the group and will be hoping to move closer to qualification with another win here. This will be their first game since beating Brazil 1-0 at the 2022 World Cup. The win over Brazil remains their only victory in three competitive matches. Cameroon have also managed just one win in their last seven matches. However, when it comes to the AFCON qualifiers, they have a great run. In the last eight, they’ve won five, and they have two losses only in 27.

This will be the first ever meeting between these two nations and Namibia will want to mark the moment with bagging three crucial away points. How fit Namibia will be going into this game will be a major question, as they have not played competitively since June 2022. Namibia’s last outing was a 1-0 loss to Zambia in the COSAFA Cup in July 2022. They haven't lost in their last three AFCON qualification matches, the last of which was in June, a 1-1 draw with Burundi, the other team in this group. However, the challenge here will be tougher, as they face one of Africa’s giants, and they have four losses in eight AFCON qualification matches. Away from home, they have 10 losses and three wins in the last 13 matches in this competition.
