Burnley resumes the Premier League season bottom of the table. They host ninth placed West Ham United hoping to win their first home league game of the season. The only good recent news was the ten point deduction given to Everton. That means the Clarets are now only bottom on goal difference and the gap between them and safety is now only two points. Their last six league and cup games have all been lost. Burnley have only four points from their 12 league games. Just one win has been achieved since returning to the Premier League. That was away at Luton so they are still to beat a side that were in the Premier League last season. All six of their home league fixtures have been lost with 18 goals conceded. Four of their six home league matches have seen over 2.5 goals scored.

West Ham United beat Nottingham Forest in their last league game. That was much needed after losing their three previous league matches. They begin this weekend eight points behind the top five. Away form for the Hammers has seen them win two games with three lost. Six away league fixtures have seen 23 goals scored. Their last three on the road in the Premier League have all been lost and that's a record they need to improve on. The Irons will see this trip to Turf Moor as an ideal opportunity to get another away league game. All six of their away league fixtures have seen over 2.5 goals scored and we believe a seventh is on the way.
