Burnley vs Watford Prediction & Betting Tips - Premier League

Burnley suffered their usual heavy defeat by Manchester City on Monday losing 5-0. They are 11th in the Premier League and will find hosting 16th placed Watford a much easier task. Burnley need to forget Monday's match and focus on their final eight league fixtures. There is still an outside chance of them getting into the Europa League qualification places, especially if seventh was to again be good enough. Burnley trail seventh place by five points and sixth by seven at the time of writing this preview. They need to remember that the loss at the Etihad ended a seven-game unbeaten run in the league. This game against Watford represents a good chance to get back in winning ways. Home form for Burnley has seen them win seven games but lose six. They are unbeaten in their last four Premier League home fixtures with two wins over Leicester and Bornemouth and draws against Arsenal and Tottenham. 

Watford gained a valuable home point against Leicester City on Saturday, It looked as if the game was lost before that last gasp equalizer. They ended the weekend in 16th place, a point above the relegation zone. The gap to Brighton and Hove Albion in 15th widened though and that's up to four points now. The Hornets have only won one of their last eight league games. That was the amazing 3-0 home victory over Liverpool, a few more results like that would keep them in the Premier League. Away form isn't inspiring though with just two wins in the league this season. They came against Norwich City and Bournemouth, both currently in the bottom three. Nine away league fixtures have been lost and only 11 goals scored in 15 games, only Norwich have scored less. Watford have only earned one point from their last four away league games with no goals scored in the last two. A bet on under 2.5 goals looks the one to go for here.
