Burnley host Watford at Turf Moor on matchday 17 of the Premier League in a crucial relegation six pointer. The hosts - currently 18th place with 11 points - trail 17th place Watford by two points and have a game in hand. This is a huge opportunity for Burnley, knowing they can move out of the relegation zone with a win on Wednesday. The Clarets are coming off a hard earned point after they were able to hold top-4 chasing West Ham to a 0-0 draw.  Ranieri’s Watford side come into this match on an awful run of four straight defeats. The Hornets disappointingly squandered a 1-0 lead late in their last game against Brentford, ultimately losing 2-1 to an extra time penalty.

Burnley have been a hard side to break down all season, evidenced by their joint-highest eight league draws. Their main issue has been goal scoring as they have really struggled to turn some of those draws into wins. Sean Dyche is a good manager and this is one of the biggest matches of the season so far for his Burnley side; the team should come out fired up and we would expect them to be able to find the net here. Watford have really struggled this season keeping opponents from scoring. They are one of the leakiest defenses in the league, giving up 31 goals and lead all teams in expected goals against. For all their defensive struggles, the Hornets have been respectable going forward. They have scored 21 goals - tied for seventh most in the league.
