Burnley vs QPR Prediction & Betting Tips - Championship
by Devesh Jaganath | in Championship Predictions
Having guaranteed their promotion to the Premier League earlier this month, Burnley will now look to secure the top spot in the Championship when they host 21st placed QPR this Saturday. Burnley are ten points clear at the top and winning this match will see them crowned champions. Since securing promotion, though, Burnley may be guilty of switching off a little in recent weeks, failing to win their last two matches against Reading and Rotherham. Nevertheless, Burnley are still unbeaten in their last 22 league matches, picking up 16 wins and 6 draws in that time. The Clarets have gone the entire season to date unbeaten at Turf Moor, winning 15 and drawing six of their 21 home matches. Burnley are undefeated in their last four matches against this opponent and will be fully expecting to wrap up the season with three points in this one.
QPR need points for a very different reason. They are one place above the relegation zone and just a point above the bottom three. If Reading (who are 22nd) hadn't been deducted points they would be in the drop zone. QPR earned an important point in their last match against Norwich, though it was not enough to bring an end to their seven-match winless run, which includes two draws and five losses. Their away record doesn’t inspire much confidence either, having not won any of their last nine matches on the road with four draws and five losses. Their last away league win came in December when winning at Preston North End. Ten away league games have been lost this season and an 11th is on the horizon.

Our Burnley vs QPR Prediction
With an unbeaten record at home this season and having gone 22 matches since their last league defeat, it’s hard to go against the hosts pulling off another victory in this one. The visitors have been poor on the road this year, and coming to the fortress that is Turf Moor, it's unlikely they will be able to do much to improve their away record here. Our Burnley v Queens Park Rangers prediction is a win for the hosts.
