It was always going to be hard for Burnley to maintain their impressive run in the Premier League. They may well have climbed up to fourth place in the table a few weeks ago but even their fans wouldn't have expected them to stay there. Since that win over Stoke City, Burnley have played four league games and earned just three points, all from draws. They should have won at Old Trafford but gave away a 2-0 lead and were well beaten by Tottenham. It's the games against Brighton and Huddersfield that have proved more disappointing with both games ending in goalless draws. Burnley aren't known for being high-scorers but the loss of Chris Wood is hitting them hard at present and they only have four goals in their last seven league matches. Two of their next three league games are against Liverpool and Manchester United and they are likely to make an FA Cup third round exit after drawing Manchester City away. Home form has seen them win two of the last three but Watford and Stoke aren't quite up to Liverpool's class and Burnley have already lost home games to Spurs and Arsenal this season. Liverpool had to come from behind to beat Leicester City on Saturday with Mo Salah scoring both goals. He picked up an injury in that game and is a doubt for this match but even without him, Liverpool have plenty of players capable of scoring with 13 players having scored for them this season. Away form has picked up in recent months with 13 poiints from their last five away league matches and just the 19 goals scored. Go for a Liverpool win in this game as they continue their bid for a top two finish.
