Burnley are still looking for their first win of the Premier League season. They begin the weekend in 19th place and host Crystal Palace who are up in eight position. Burnley are four points from safety but do have a game in hand. Of their seven league games this season, they have just two draws to their name. They came against West Brom and Brighton, both having their own struggles in the Premier League. Scoring goals is one of the biggest problems that Burnley have. Just three this season with 12 conceded. The two draws they have managed were both of the goalless variety. Their home form isn’t helping them at all this season. Three games have produced three losses and their fans are still waiting to see them score at Turf Moor. Burnley haven’t scored in their last four league games but aside from a 3-0 loss to Chelsea, only one goal has been scored in the other three. There have been under 2.5 goals scored in six of their last eight home league games but just one victory. That was last season against Watford, who went on to be relegated.

Crystal Palace have 13 points from their opening eight league fixtures. They tend to lack consistency though with three wins, one draw and three losses. Two of the last three league games have been won though and this fixture gives them the chance to go on a decent run. Following this, they host Newcastle before travelling to West Brom. They have a good chance then of securing a high league position after 11 matches of the season. The two recent wins have come against two of the promoted sides. They won 2-1 at Fulham and beat Leeds 4-1 at home. That was only the second time in 43 home league games they’d managed to score at least four goals in a home fixture. Away form has seen them win at Old Trafford this season but also lose 4-0 at Chelsea and 2-0 away at Wolves. Six of their last eight away league games have been lost, so you never quite know what to expect from them. A double chance bet on Palace looks a good one to make.
