18th placed Burnley bid to make it two league wins in a row. They host Chelsea who are 11th and also looking to get a second succcessive league victory. Burnley have had a troubled start to life back in the Premier League and had only earned one point from six games before winning at fellow strugglers Luton Town in midweek. They won that game 2-1 but it looked as if they might have been heading for a draw. The Clarets led going into the 84th minute but then conceded an equalizer. Just a minute later they retook the lead and held onto this time for a vital win. They could be out of the bottom three by the time this game begins. That will be so if Luton Town lose to Tottenham by a three-goal margin in the early kick-off game. Burnley are yet to earn a home point this season and have already lost to Manchester City, Aston Villa, Tottenham and Manchester United. Their defending has improved of late though with five goals conceded in four league games. That's still poor but they'd let in 11 in their previous three.

Chelsea could finally make their way into the Premier League top ten if drawing this game at Turf Moor. The Blues won their last league fixture at Fulham 2-0 and will be hoping they have turned a corner. That win ended a run of three league games without a win. They did beat Brighton and Hove Albion in the Carabao Cup last week, so a win here would be their third in a row. Away form for Chelsea has seen them earn only four points from the last seven games, all at Bournemouth. Their last two away league matches have seen under 2.5 goals scored and that stat may well come up again in this match.
