Burnley continue their battle against relegation with a home game against Brighton and Hove Albion. The home side are 19th in the Premier League, nine places and 24 points adrift of their opponents. The Clarets are still in deep relegation trouble and six points from safety. It might as well be seven because of their appalling -35 goal difference.  A form guide for the last five league games has them in ninth place with six points earned. Three of their last five Premier League fixtures have ended in draws and they need to start converting those into wins. Last weekend saw them lose a vital away game at Everton 1-0.  It's now three league games without a win for Burnley but their last two home fixtures have produced four points. They beat Brentford and drew with Wolves. Only two of their 16 home league games have been won and they need to get plenty of points from their final three against Brighton, Newcastle and Nottingham Forest.

The Seagulls are still hopeful of securing another season in European football. It's possible eighth place might be good enough and they trail that position by four points at present. They're five behind seventh and six behind sixth placed Manchester United. However, their form is not good at present with no win in their last three league games. That form table for the last five Premier League matches has them in 17th with only four points. Their last game was a 3-0 home loss to Arsenal, the second straight match in which they've failed to score. Three of their last five in the Premier League have been lost and away form continues to disappoint. Eight league games have been lost on the road with just one win in the last ten.
