Aston Villa are now entangled in a fully-fledged relegation dogfight after losing four of their last five matches. Villa are now 18th on 18 points six behind their opponents Burnley who are 13th after back-to-back defeats of their own.  

The hosts fell to a 2-0 defeat at home to Manchester United on Saturday night while Villa were beaten 3-0 by fellow strugglers Watford and now both teams will go head-to-head in search of a much-needed win after playing out a 2-2 draw in the reverse fixture. These sides have met five times in the Premier League since its inception with the first encounter coming back in November 2009 at Turf Moor. On that occasion the teams drew 1-1 and in the last meeting here back in 2014 they also drew 1-1. In their last 10 games Villa have picked up just seven points hence their descent into the relegation zone meanwhile Burnley have picked up 12 times in the same duration of games.  

Burnley are yet to draw a game at home in the league this year winning five times and losing the same amount of games. Elsewhere, the guests Aston Villa are the worst team in the league away from home as they have recorded just four points during their travels with a sole victory against Norwich at Carrow Road.
