Bulgaria are set to host Northern Ireland after their unbeaten starts in Group 3 of League C in the Nations League. While Bulgaria played to a draw with Belarus, Northern Ireland bagged three points against Luxembourg. Here’s our preview and prediction of the match.

For the first time in 2024, Bulgaria will be playing at home. They will hope to make it worthwhile as the last three years haven't returned great results. Bulgaria’s only win in their last 16 matches was against low-ranking Tanzania.

Having finished their game away to Belarus with 10 men, Bulgaria will feel the 0-0 draw was a fair result. Filip Krastev was sent off in that game. The Lions will now seek to do better than their four straight draws. They have a seven-game unbeaten run to defend here, but lost three of five at home.

Northern Ireland had a good start and will be eyeing a number of firsts here. They haven't won any of their last five meetings with Bulgaria. The visitors will also be seeking a first ever away win in the Nations League.
