Bromley from the National League look to cause a shock in the first round of the FA Cup. They are third in the table and host Blackpool who are eighthh in League One. The Ravens are hopeful of becoming a league club next season. They are in the promotion play-off positions but nine places behind leaders Chesterfield and played a game more. The Lilywhites are aiming to make it into the second round of the FA Cup for the fourth time in their history. The last time they got that far was in the 1945-46 season. To get to the first round, Bromley beat Wealdstone 3-2 at home in the fourth qualifying round. Home form has been strong for Bromley this season with seven out of nine league games won and only one lost against Barnet (second in the table). Their last eight home fixtures have all been won with both teams scoring in six of them.
Blackpool are previous FA Cup winners but that was 70 years ago. They have reached the FA Cup third round in each of the past five seasons and got to round four last season. The visitors are only two points behind the League One promotion play-off positions but have only earned one point from their last two fixtures. Their most recent game saw them draw 3-3 at Fleetwood Town, trailing 2-0 and leading 3-2. That was the fourth consecutive game in which both teams have scored.
