Bristol Rovers will be hosting Sunderland this Tuesday, in an important English League One fixture. The two sides are on separate ends of the standings, with Sunderland fifth with 59 points while Bristol Rovers, who have 42 points, are placed 15th. With nine wins and two losses in their last 15 matches, Sunderland are clear favorites here. They have three wins and three clean sheets in their last five away matches. They do not score a plenty of goals away from home; in their last 15 matches, they have scored twice in just one game. They have scored once in five of 15 away matches and failed to score in eight. In their last match, they were close to a win over Gillingham but conceded a very late goal to see them draw 2-2. Their last win before going on a three – match winless run came against Bristol Rovers, a 3-0 victory but they have also not scored a first half goal in their last four matches. Sunderland have beaten Bristol in each of the four meetings between the two sides.
