For the second time in three weeks, Bristol City and Watford will be facing off in the Championship. This game hosted by Bristol finds the hosts 10 points above the relegation zone and Watford one outside the top six. A 1-0 win over West Ham United in the FA Cup will give Bristol great confidence as they resume league action. It hasn’t been great for Bristol in the season but eliminating a Premier League team in their FA Cup replay will give them the needed belief. Bristol had gone winless in four matches before beating West Ham United. As attention turns to the league, Bristol will hope to do better after failing to score in three straight Championship games. Watford won their FA Cup third round game at the first time of asking, saving them from a replay. They’ve thus had more recovery time and will hope this plays out here. Watford’s last defeat came at the hands of Bristol City, a shock 4-1 loss at home. It just lived up to Watford's unimpressive home run but they have the chance to avenge. Watford have done well in their recent away matches, going undefeated in the last five. They have registered four wins in those five away matches coming here. Watford have also dominated recent meetings with Bristol, losing once in six but winning three of them. Coming into this game, Watford beat QPR 2-1 for their second straight win and fourth unbeaten outing. They’ll be fired up for this also, having scored at least two goals in each of their last three matches.
