Bristol City aim to bounce back from their midweek loss at Southampton. The Robins begin the weekend in 12th place in the Championship and host Norwich City who are two places below them. City had earned seven points from three league games before losing at Southampton who are in the promotion play-off positions. Bristol City are themselves only five points behind the final promotion play-off spot. They have won seven of their 18 league games this season but lost the same number. 19 goals have been scored by them but the same number has been conceded. Home form for City has produced four wins from nine games with three being lost. Their recent form at Ashton Gate is strong though with three of the last four being won.

Norwich City can go ahead of their opponents if winning this match. The Canaries are only two points behind the home side but also lost in midweek. They went down 3-2 at Watford despite taking a 2-0 lead after just 12 minutes. Before that defeat they had won two league games in a row with victories at Cardiff and home to QPR. Away form is the big problem that needs to be solved by City if they want to return to the Premier League. They have won two away Championship games but lost five. After earning four points from their first two away league games of the season, Norwich have lost five of the next seven. Seven of their nine away league fixtures have seen them concede at least two goals. We go for Bristol City to get a home win this weekend.
