Tenth placed Brisbane Roar still have an outside chance of making it into the A-League play-offs. They host FC Syndey who are fifth in the table and still needing to confirm their top six finish. The home side are five points behind the final play-off position with just two games remaining. Only two wins will give them any chance and their final game of the main season is away at bottom-of-the-table Melbourne Victory. Brisbane led and traled in their most recent match, a 2-2 draw at Wellington Phoenix. Only one of their last four A-League fixtures has been lost, that was a 4-1 loss at Central Coast Mariners who are currently fourth in the table. Brisbane have won four home league games this season but they come into this game having won each of the last three with six goals scored and just one conceded. The other home win was achieved last November and that was a 3-1 win over Sydney.

The visitors know that a win in this game will take them into the play-offs. They are three points clear of Newcastle Jets and Perth Glory who are seventh and eighth respectively but have a superior goal difference. Sydney won their last game 4-1 at home to Perth Glory and it was a welcome victory. They had gone four games without a win before last weekend's success. Only league leaders Mebourne City have a better away league record than Sydney. Five of their 12 away league fixtures have been won but the same number lost. There aren't many dominant away teams in this league. Sydney had lost two successive away games before a late goal got them a point at Adelaide. A double chance bet on the home side is our tip for this game.
