Brighton and Hove Albion begin the weekend in 15th place in the Premier League only three points above the relegation zone. They had that great win over Manchester United early on in the season but since then have played six league and cup games without a victory. Their defence is a major worry with only one league game this season in which they haven't conceded at least twice, surprisingly that was the 1-0 defeat at Anfield. Home form was strong last season but this year they have one win, one draw and one defeat from their three home league games and they had to come from two goals down to get the draw with Fulham. They have only won two of their last seven at home and both were against Manchester United.

If this game was taking place a few weeks ago, Brighton might be more confident of getting a positive result from this clash with West Ham United. The Hammers started their season with four straight defeats but have picked up well with seven points from three league games with Everton, Chelsea and Manchester United, not to forget their 8-0 Carabao Cup home win over Macclesfield. They have been buoyed by the return to form of Marko Arnautovic and the midfield skills of Andriy Yarmolenko and Felipe Anderson. The confidence has returned and they can cause problems aplenty for Brighton's fragile defence and get their second away league win of the season.
