This is the kind of game both teams need to win if they want to stay out of relegation trouble. After five games, Brighton are 16th in the Premier League, with their opponents a place and two points below them. The home side only have four points from but have had a tough fixture list. Home games against Chelsea and Manchester United and trips to Newcastle United, Everton and Crystal Palace. They’ve probably done well to get four points, with their only win a 3-0 victory at Newcastle. Home form for Brighton hasn’t been great in recent games but they have had a tough fixture list. Two games against Manchester United, as well as Newcastle, Liverpool and Chelsea, so no wonder they have only one point from their last six at home. No prizes for guessing the point came against Newcastle. Now they have two home games against sides in the bottom four. This match is followed by the visit of Burnley and Brighton will be looking to get at least four points from these games. Anything less than three would be a major disappointment.

West Brom are yet to get a win on their return to the Premier League. They have managed two draws though and stemmed the flow of goals scored against them. Albion began the season by conceding 11 goals in three games against Leicester City, Everton and Chelsea. How different their season might have been if not giving away a 3-0 home lead against Chelsea. A 2-0 away loss to Southampton followed but a second point arrived when getting a goalless draw with Burnley. No points on their travels though and West Brom have gone nine league games (in the Championship and Premier League) without a victory. Back Brighton to win this game.
