The FA Cup quarter-finals are here and among the scintillating clashes to follow will be Nottingham Forest taking on Brighton. Brighton suffered one of their heaviest losses in recent seasons at the hands of Nottingham Forest. They were thumped 7-0 in their second league meeting this season.
Since then, Brighton have been a different side. They haven't lost again after that defeat and are coming from a well-deserved 2-2 draw with Manchester City.

Brighton are grappling with a lengthy injury list ahead of this game but will be happy at the rest that came with the international break. Tariq Lamptey served his suspension after getting sent off in the last round.
However, his return to action will take longer as he suffered a knee injury that should keep him out till late April. The former Chelsea man will be missed more for his pass accuracy, which for the season stands at 88.5%.
He will not be the only one ruled out. Jason Steele, James Milner, Igor and Ferdi Kadioglu are all out while Solly March and Matt O’Riley are listed doubtful.
With Wood out, Taiwo Awoniyi is the likeliest replacement for Forest.
The case for Chris Wood missing this game will be the more worrying. The striker picked a hip injury while on international duty and the club has confirmed he will be unavailable for this encounter.
The magnitude of Wood’s absence can’t be captured that easily; the New Zealander is the team’s leading scorer, with 18 goals. He has an expected goals rating of 11.04 and his lethal instincts will surely be missed.
Woods is not the only one missing for Forest, goalkeeper Carlos Miguel is also out injured but that shouldn’t worry Nuno Santos as Matz Cels is available.
