Brighton - Manchester United: Form Analysis
Brighton and Hove Albion are still hoping to play in European competition next season. They are seventh in the Premier League (with games in hand) and two wins away from winning the FA Cup. The Seagulls come into this match fresh from a 2-1 win at Chelsea last weekend. Unlike their opponents there's been no trip to Spain in midweek and that may be to their advantage. Brighton have only lost one of their last nine games in all competitions. That was a 2-1 loss at Tottenham with some very dodgy VAR decisions not helping them. Brighton are in the FA Cup semi-finals for only the third time in their history. They've won one and lost one and this is their first appearance in the last four since 2019 when losing to Manchester City. To reach this semi-final, Brighton have had wins over Middlesbrough, cup holders Liverpool, Stoke City and Grimsby Town.
Manchester United have only won one of their last three games. They won at Nottingham Forest last weekend but drew and lost Europa League matches against Sevilla. The loss on Thursday evening ended a run of four matches without defeat. Away performances haven't been great of late with three of the last five being lost. Away form hasn't been a factor for them in this season's FA Cup. All four of their games have been played at home with victories over Everton, Reading, West Ham United and Fulham, all of them won 3-1. Over 90 minutes, United have failed to win their last two away FA Cup ties.

Brighton & Manchester United Squad Analysis
Brighton do have some injury problems ahead of this FA Cup semi-final against Manchester United. Evan Ferguson and Joel Veltman both suffered injuries at Chelsea last weekend and will not be playing in this match. Goalkeeper Jason Steele is also a doubt for this match. Former Manchester United striker Danny Welbeck is likely to play and with defensive problems, Pascal Gross may be right-back, Julio Enciso scored against Chelsea last week and may start this match,
Manchester United also have injury problems to deal with. Both Lisandro Martinez and Raphael Varane wlll be absent this week. Luke Shaw made his comeback against Sevilla on Thursday but still didn't look 100% and will need a fitness test. In better news, Marcus Rashford is expected to start the game and Bruno Fernandes will return to the side after missing the second leg against Sevilla due to suspension.
