Brighton - Liverpool: Form Analysis
Brighton haven’t won in three matches. Roberto De Zerbi’s men have lost twice in this dip in form with one of those defeats coming in the league. The Seagulls impressively came back from 2-0 down to draw 2-2 with Marseille in midweek in the Conference League. It was a positive result in what was the club’s first-ever away match in Europe. Brighton were thumped 6-1 away to Aston Villa last weekend in the league. As they haven’t lost in three matches against Liverpool, they will fancy their chances of getting back to winning ways. Brighton have won the last two times they have been hosts against the Merseyside club.
Liverpool bounced back from their controversial defeat at Tottenham Hotspur last weekend by winning in Europe in midweek. Jurgen Klopp’s men were 2-0 winners at home against Union Saint-Gilloise in the Europa League. The Reds have been in excellent form this season and have won eight of the 10 matches they have played across all competitions. Five of those victories have come in the league where they have racked up 16 points. Liverpool trail leaders Manchester City by two points.

Brighton & Liverpool Squad Analysis
Brighton are set to be without left-back Pervis Estupinan for at least the next month due to a thigh injury. He becomes the latest player in the club’s treatment room which also has Jakub Moder, James Millner, Adam Lallana, and Julio Enciso. Solly March scored a brace the last time Brighton hosted Liverpool in the league. He has already scored three goals this season and will be one of the main threats for the hosts.
Liverpool have this season had to be without a number of players due to suspension. The latest to miss a matchday for the Reds will be Curtis Jones and Diogo Jota. Both were dismissed against Tottenham last weekend with Jones shown a straight red card. Cody Gakpo will be unavailable for the second game in a row due to an injury sustained against Spurs. Mohammed Salah has been involved in 12 goals as a Liverpool player against Brighton. Seven of those have come in six visits to the Amex. The Egyptian has already scored six goals this season.
