Brighton vs Arsenal Prediction & Betting Tips - Premier League
by Daniel Ngulu | in Premier League Predictions
The Premier League continues this weekend with one of the matches lined up, Arsenal visiting Brighton in the 30th round of matches. Ahead of the game Brighton are placed 15th with 29 points while Arsenal are ninth on 40 points. Both sides have not had great seasons; Brighton are just two points above the relegation zone while for Arsenal there’s a strong possibility that they will miss European football next season. Arsenal are five points off the final Europa League place and eight off the Champions League slots. At the time the league was halted, Brighton were on a 10 - match winless streak across all competition and they can only hope for the better here. They have three wins in their last 19 matches, and one of them came against Arsenal at the Emirates. This is one fixture they will look forward to, having not lost to Arsenal in the last four meetings. Of their 10 winless outings, six have ended in draws and they have failed to score in four. In the five home matches they have played this year, Brighton have no win. Their last home win came back in December when they hit Bournemouth 2-0. They haven’t scored more than once in their last four home matches in the league and their last home outing ended 1-0 in favor of Crystal Palace.
Arsenal on the other hand, hit another low as the league resumed, going down 3-0 to Manchester City. Their away day woes continued at the Etihad Stadium and this is not the match they’d wish for at this moment. They have no away win in the last six league matches and just one in 13. Arsenal have played 14 away matches in the league so far, and have won just three. Their record against Brighton has also not been the best in the recent years; they last beat Brighton in 2017 – their only win against the hosts in five meetings. However, Arsenal have managed to score in each of their last seven meetings with Brighton. There is no doubting that mentally, Arsenal are at their weakest at the moment and injuries to key men Granit Xhaka and Pablo Mari will not help. They will also be without the suspended David Luiz who was sent off against Manchester City while Calum Chambers remains out injured.

Our Brighton vs Arsenal Prediction
Arsenal had another poor showing on the road when they faced Manchester City on Wednesday. Their case was not helped by two forced changes as Granit Xhaka and Pablo Mari got injured in the first half. A calamitous performance by David Luiz, who had replaced Mari saw the Brazilian sent off as Arsenal struggled to create any open chances. They will not have it easier against a Brighton side fighting to rise away from the drop zone. Brighton have in the past few seasons troubled Arsenal and they will be glad to face Arsenal at the Gunners’ lowest. Brighton have however not been winning a lot of games themselves and they also have defensive worries, which Arsenal will be keen to exploit. A scoring draw here would be a good bet.
