Brighton - Arsenal: Form Analysis

Brighton and Hove Albion won 3-1 at Southampton on Boxing Day. That was their second straight away league win but before that they were beaten by League One Charlton Athletic in the EFL Cup. They had beaten Arsenal at the Emirates earlier in the competition. The win over Southampton was their third in their last four Premier League games. Only one of those have been achieved on home soil. That was an impressive 4-1 win over Chelsea. Brighton have won three of their home league games this season but only one of the four with defeats by Tottenham and Aston Villa. Brighton have had a couple of home wins over Arsenal since returning to the Premier League in 2017. The last two home league fixtures against the Gunners has seen them lose 1-0 and draw 0-0.

Arsenal had to come from behind to beat West Ham United on Boxing Day. They went 1-0 down to a West Ham penalty but ended up convincingly winning the game 3-1 to stay five points clear at the top of the table. That's the only goal they have conceded in their last five Premier League games and the last four have all been won with 11 goals scored. They are now undefeated in their last nine league games since their only league loss of the season at Manchester United in September. Away from home, Arsenal have won six of their eight Premier League games.
