17th placed Brest can escape the Ligue 1 relegation zone if avoiding defeat in this vital game against Nantes who are 16th. Three of the four relegation spots already look certain to be filled by Troyes, AC Ajaccio and the already doomed Angers. Brest however are only in the bottom four on goal difference from their opponents and 15th placed Strasbourg. Both of these sides have played 32 games which is one less than their rivals.
