For the second straight season, Brest will face Lens in the opening game of Ligue 1, Brest playing as hosts. In the 2022/23 campaign, Brest finished 14th, nine points above relegation while Lens were second, a point behind PSG. Brest lost to Lens in their opening game of Ligue 1 last season.
