Brest vs BATE Borisov Prediction & Betting Tips - Cup

There's a lot at stake as BATE Borisov face Dinamo Brest in the final of the Belarus Cup on neutral territory at the Dinamo Stadium in Minsk. BATE are four points clear at the top of the Belarus Premier League and stretched that lead on Wednesday when going to Dinamo Brest and beating them 3-1. They took a first half lead but were pegged back to 1-1 by half-time. Two goals in the 74th and 80th minutes secured the win for them. BATE started this season with two away league defeats and a loss at Slavia Mozyr in the away leg of the Belarus Cup semi-final. Since then, they have been in top form winning seven out of eight games, the other being drawn. The goals have been flowing for sure with 14 in the last four, scoring at least three in each match. They have won this competition three times and lost in five finals. On their way to this final, BATE haven't had the easiest of rides. The quarter final saw them come from behind in both legs to beat Dinamo Minsk. Then in the last four, they lost the away first leg at Slavia Mozyr before winning the home leg 2-0.

A win for Dinano Brest will see them holding the league title, Super Cup and Belarus Cup at the same time. Their current form however doesn't look at all promising, especially after that midweek loss to BATE. That's left them eighth in the table but from a game more and 13th placed FC Minsk are only three points behind them. They are now nine points off the top of the Premier League, so this might be their best chance of lifting a trophy and/or qualifying for the Europa League. Brest have lost five of their last seven league and cup games and already know how tough their opponents are. Brest only made it through the semi-finals on away goals scored. They won the home first leg 2-0 and went 2-0 up away at Shakhtyor. Their fragile defence was shown when they conceded four times, making it 4-4 on aggregate but those away goals got them through. BATE are the clear form side here and can get the win.
