Brentford go into this Championship play-off semi-final second leg knowing they have to win this game to keep their promotion hopes alive. The first leg was played on Sunday and saw Swansea City win 1-0 with a goal nine minutes from time. Brentford shouldn't be in this position, they should have clinched automatic promotion ahead of West Bromwich Albion. However, the team that had won eight games in a row lost the last two and then the play-off first leg. They now have to turn their season around or it'll be another season in the Championship for them. The last three games have seen them score just once, though two have been played away from home. Their home form had seen them win six and draw two, before losing their final home fixture 2-1 to Barnsley.  They won 14 home league games and with 44 goals were the joint highest scorers with West Brom. That includes a 3-1 home victory over Swansea City, Ollie Watkins scored twice in that match and the Bees will be hoping their top scorer will rediscover his scoring boots.

Swansea City had to perform a bit of a miracle on the final day of the main season. They had three points and an inferior goal difference to make up but managed to do so. Now they have made the most of their opportunity by winning the first leg of this semi-final. That was their third straight win so they come into this game in better form than their opponents. Only Leeds United have beaten Swansea in their last eight games. It's all far better than their pre-lockdown form that saw the Swans win just one out of nine league matches. Away form is good with only one defeat in their last nine games. They have managed to score in all of those games bar the one they lost (a 1-0 defeat at Fulham). Both teams scored in all but two of those nine away matches. They started the season with three away clean sheets from the first four played. That record hasn't been kept up though with only three in the next 19. Brentford will need to play an attacking game to get the win they desperately need. Swansea know just one more could take them to Wembley. Go for both teams to score in this match.
