Brentford vs Fulham Prediction & Betting Tips - Premier League

Brentford and Fulham will attempt to give their European hopes for next season a shot in the arm when they face off on Monday at Brentford’s Community Stadium in round 26 of the English Premier League. Brentford are ninth with 35 points, six points from a Europa League spot while Fulham are four points above them in seventh. Aside from the proximity in the table, the match is also a London derby and should be an enticing one for bettors. Brentford have been flying this season and arrive this weekend with an 11-match unbeaten record in the league. They last lost a league match in October. They have proven hard to beat but they have also not been dominant against their opponents and have drawn six of those matches with the latest (1-1) coming against Crystal Palace last time out. Thomas Frank’s men had also drawn one-all with Arsenal before that and have now shared the spoils in four of their last five London derbies with the exception being a 2-0 win over West Ham. Brentford have turned their home ground into a fortress and have lost just one match all season there. For this clash, they could be boosted by the return of club captain Pontus Jansson, Frank Onyenka and Thomas Strakosha from injury.

Fulham also have an unbeaten run of their own going and haven’t lost in seven straight matches across all competitions and come into this match having advanced to the quarter finals of the FA Cup thanks to a 2-0 win over Leeds United. In the league they are unbeaten in their last four, winning two of those matches and have also performed admirably against teams from London with two wins and a draw in their last four derby games. Their defensive solidity has been key to their success and they have kept four clean sheets in their last seven matches and have conceded more than one goal once in this run. Their defensive set-up will however be disturbed for this clash with the absence of midfielder Joao Palhinha due to suspension. They will however be boosted by the return to full fitness of top scorer Alexander Mitrovic. The forward missed a couple of matches with injury and returned against Leeds, playing 70 minutes.
