Everton will be away to Brentford on Saturday seeking their first English Premier League victory of the season. After five rounds of play, Everton find themselves third from bottom while Brentford are 11th in the standings. Brentford have not lost at home in the league since a 2-1 loss to Newcastle back in April. They have won three of the seven matches since then and will seek a fourth here. Their unbeaten record at home against Everton will have them confident of this. The Bees have registered five of their eight wins in this fixture at home. Thomas Frank’s men were defeated 1-0 by Newcastle last weekend away from home. The defeat, their first of the season, saw them unable to add to their six points and ended a seven-match unbeaten run.

Everton are one of five teams yet to register a win this season. This slow start to the season has seen them right back in the relegation places. Sean Dyche’s men have managed one point after losing four of their five matches. Their only win this season came in the League Cup away to League Two side Doncaster Rovers. Everton drew 2-2 with Sheffield United the last time they were away in the league. They will hope for at least a similar outcome in their third away match of the campaign. The Toffees were defeated 1-0 by Arsenal at home last time out. A lack of goals has precipitated their struggles as they have managed only two thus far which is the joint least tally.
