Brentford will have another chance to try and stabilize their season when they play host to Crystal Palace in their next league game. It has been tough for them in the recent weeks and going into this game, 14th placed Brentford have managed 23 points while Crystal Palace are 13th with 25 points. Brentford are coming from a 2-0 loss to Manchester City, a sixth straight loss for the league’s new boys. Their strong start to the season has since died down and they go to this game with just two wins in the last 10 matches across all competitions; they’ve lost all the remaining eight and have no clan sheet in the last 14. Brentford’s main concern will be in defence as they go into this game; while they’ve scored in four of their last six matches, they’ve conceded at least twice in each of the six.

Crystal Palace fought from a goal down in their last match, against Norwich City, to end it in a 1-1 draw. Here they will want to improve on their recent run that has just two wins in the last five matches, and both these being in the FA Cup. Wilfred Zaha scored the equalizer to save Patrick Vieira’s team the blushes but with a four game winless run in the league, things don’t look too good for Palace. They do have a better run compared to Bentford, but with the caliber of players they have, they should do better. In their last 10 league games, Palace have five losses and just one clean sheet. Palace have collected nine points from their last 10 league matches, which is two points more than Brentford in the same run but they’ve failed to score in just three games of the 10. They are unbeaten in their last three away matches.
