Brentford have become the home draw experts in the Championship this season. Out of 11 home league games, they have drawn seven, winning three of the others and just the single defeat by Nottiingham Forest in their opening home league match of the season. The weekend saw them win 2-1 at Norwich City and they have only lost one of their last six league games, though three have ended in draws. They are seven points adrift of the final play-off position which is currently held by their opponents in this game, Aston Villa. A win  here will put them right in the play-off picture as they chase their first ever promotion to the Premier League. Those draws have to stop though and that applies to both sides, so far Brentford have ten league draws and Villa eight. The midlanders will be disappointed at their latest draw having led Sheffield United 2-0 after just nine minutes before being pegged back. They have gone four league games wthout a win but three have ended in draws and Villa find themselves nine points off the automatic play-off places. They have failed to win any of their last three away games and failed to score in the last two so that’s an area they need to improve on. It’s only a recent problem though as they have scored in seven of their last ten away league matches. A bet on a draw looks like being a winner.
