Shamrock Rovers will be away to Breidablik Kopavogur on Tuesday looking to overturn their UEFA Champions League first-round qualifier. Breidablik lead the tie 1-0 after winning the first leg last week. Breidablik now need to avoid defeat here to be assured of qualifying for the next round. The Icelandic champions have been in good form and will be confident of coming away with a win here let alone a draw. Oskar Thorvaldsson’s charges have won their last three matches and have conceded only once while scoring seven goals. They defeated Fram 1-0 in the domestic league last time out to remain in the hunt for another league title. Breidablik are back in the Champions League for the first time since 2011 and have been in excellent form. They have won all three matches they have played scoring 13 goals in the process.

Shamrock Rovers missed the chance to draw first blood in this tie when they hosted the first leg. They now have to do it the hard way and win by two clear goals away from home. This will especially be a difficult task as the Irish outfit has scored only one goal in the last four matches. Unlike Breidablik, Rovers haven’t played a match since the first leg. This could work as an advantage as they have had more time to work on their game plan. Stephen Bradley’s men have struggled for form and have managed only one win in their last five games. They have lost twice in this period. As they are regulars in the competition, they will hope their pedigree comes to the fore on Tuesday.
