Brazil vs Peru Prediction & Betting Tips - Copa America
by Nella Wagah | in Football Predictions
Brazil’s defence of the Copa America started well, with a 3-0 win over Venezuela and they will be favorites to bag a second when they take on Peru, who are playing their first game of the tournament. There has been a lot of opposition to this competition in Brazil but the noises seem to be dying down and Brazil will hope to give their fans much to celebrate during these tough times of the global pandemic. Brazil are enjoying really great form going into this game; the last time they lost a game was in 2019, against Argentina. They go here with eight straight wins, and not just that, they have seven clean sheets in the run and scored two or more in each of the last four.
Peru did beat Brazil in the 2016 Copa America but that is just about their only win over Brazil in competitive action after the first in 1960. They also had a good showing against Brazil in the World Cup qualification match in October 2020. However, after taking a sixth minute lead it all crumbled and they lost 4-2, with two of their men sent off late on. It hasn’t been great recently for them coming to the Copa America. Peru are bottom of the CONMEBOL World Cup qualifiers though they managed a 2-1 win over Ecuador before heading to this competition. That was their first win in nine matches, and it brought to an end a run of four straight losses. They have no clean sheet in nine matches and have failed to score in three of the last four while in four of their last five matches, Peru have conceded two or more goals.

Our Brazil vs Peru Prediction
Brazil are a cut above most teams in the world at the moment and are definitely the dominant side in South America, as seen in the World Cup qualifiers. They are at home, taking on the lowest ranked side in the region’s World Cup qualifiers and one of the poorest defensively at that. Brazil have shown great balance in all departments in their recent matches and have been scoring multiple goals, so going here back them to win in both halves.
