Brazilians live and breathe football but recent tournaments haven't been great for them. No one will ever forget their humiliating defeat by Germany in the 2014 World Cup and their 2018 qualification campaign hasn't been going too well either. A win in the Olympic men's football tournament would mean everything to the nation. They made a slow start though with successive 0-0 draws with South Africa and Iraq before coming alive with a 4-0 win over Denmark to win the group. That took them through to the quarter finals where they beat Colombia 2-0, it's not often Brazilian sides keep four straight clean sheets but this one has and at least Neymar finally got off the mark with the opening goal against Colombia. Honduras made the quarter final in the last Olympics and have repeated that feat in Brazil. They opened their campaign with a 3-2 win over Algeria and got off to a flyer with a first minute goal against Portugal. The Portuguese side recovered to win 2-1 but a draw with Argentina saw them qualify from the group. It could have been a win too but for a 93rd minute equalizer. Honduras then beat South Korea 1-0 in the quarter final to secure this tie with Brazil. The host nation are flowing now and can get a comfortable win to set up a possible final with Germany, now that would be a revenge match.
