Brazil vs Ecuador Prediction & Betting Tips - World Cup
by Steve Ashfield | in World Cup Predictions
Brazil’s qualification campaign for the 2022 World Cup is well on course, and they will be looking to extend their good run when they return to action with a home game against Ecuador. The qualifiers are going into Match Day 5 with Brazil leading with 12 points from four matches while Ecuador are third on nine points. Brazil have five straight wins ahead of this game, the most recent being a 2-0 victory away to Uruguay. That was their fourth clean sheet in five matches and they have scored two or more goals in four of the five. In the last five matches, they’ve scored 15 goals and conceded two. The star attraction in this game will definitely be PSG forward Neymar. He marks his return after missing the last two games. When he last featured for Brazil, Neymar scored a hat trick, against Peru in the 4-2 away win.
Ecuador are equally on a good run, and their only defeat in the four qualification matches was against second placed Argentina. They had a friendly match against Bolivia in March, winning 2-1 and will be hoping they can avoid defeat against Brazil on Match Day 5 of the qualifiers. It hasn’t worked that way lately, with Brazil holding a nine-game unbeaten run over Ecuador ahead of this game. Having failed to keep a clean sheet in the last six matches is among the factors that will worry Ecuador going to this game. They have two goals or more in each of the last four matches but they haven’t managed to keep it tight at the back, and it is worse away from home, with three losses in the last five.

Our Brazil vs Ecuador Prediction
Brazil have edged a lot of teams in South America by the fact that they are good both in attack and defence. They have 15 goals in their last five matches ahead of this game, and conceded just two in the process. They have a great record against Ecuador, who have also been doing well lately, though not defensively. Ecuador have been struggling away from home and for Brazil this will offer an advantage, but the visitors have a very impressive scoring form so back this to produce over 2.5 goals.
