The Brazilian Serie A is going into Week 3 of matches and Bragantino and Fluminense, who are still unbeaten face off on Sunday. Hosts Bragantino are fourth with four points and sixth placed Fluminense have the same tally though placed lower by an inferior goal difference. Last season Bragantino didn’t have a very strong goal scoring run but they have started well on that front in their league matches this season. They have scored six goals already in the two matches played and will want to carry this run to the third game. They’ve also been taking part in the Copa Sudamericana and Copa do Brasil and their scoring returns have been decent, save for their 2-0 loss to Fluminense in the Copa do Brasil. This will be the third meeting between the two sides in 10 days, after facing off twice in the cup, where Fluminense emerged 3-2 aggregate winners. Four of their last five matches have produced over 2.5 goals and in those four, Bragantino have scored two or more goals. They however have just one clean sheet in their last five matches.

In their only two league meetings with Bragantino, Fluminense have no win. They will be gunning for the first here after a loss and a draw, but having eliminated Bragantino from the cup competition, Fluminense will be confident. The visitors will be looking to halt a good run that Bragantino have at home, unbeaten in seven matches and with just one loss in the last 13. With a run of just one loss, and three wins in the last five matches, Fluminense will feel well placed to tackle Bragantino just four days after facing off in Copa do Brasil. The 2-1 loss brought to an end Fluminense’s run of three straight clean sheets, and they will still be concerned about their away run. In the last six away matches, Fluminense have managed just one win, a 3-1 victory over River Plate in Copa Libertadores and the only clean sheet in the run came in the 0-0 draw with Sao Paulo. While they haven’t done so well away from home, Fluminense have scored in five of their last six away games.
