Bournemouth vs Reading Prediction & Betting Tips - Championship
by Steve Ashfield | in Championship Predictions
Bournemouth are in fifth place in the Championship as they bid to make an immediate return to the Premier League. They host league leaders Reading but a win for the home side will see them overtake their opponents in the table. Bournemouth have lost just one of their 11 league games this season, though five have been drawn. Their only defeat was away at Sheffield Wednesday at the start of this month. They bounced back well from that though with a 3-1 win at Birmingham before the international break. Bournemouth remain unbeaten at home in the league though with three wins and two draws. The season opened with a 3-2 home win over Blackburn but goals at the Vitality Stadium have been in short supply since then. Four home league games have produced just four goals. The most recent being a 1-1 draw with Derby, where the Cherries had to come from behind to maintain their unbeaten home record. Strangely two of their last three opponents in this league have since sacked their manager.
Reading are top of the Championship with a one point lead over Watford. The table does not tell the whole story of how their season is progressing. A form table for the past five league games does though. Reading are 19th in that table and come into this match having lost their last three league matches. Even worse is the fact that they conceded three goals in each of those defeats. The highest current league placing for the teams that beat them is 8th with the other two in the bottom half and one being one above the relegation zone. Their last four league matches has seen them concede a total of 11 goals. All a bit of a slump considering those games were preceded by four clean sheets. Now they face one of the top teams in the table away from home. A win for Bournemouth is the tip for this game.

Our Bournemouth vs Reading Prediction
Reading made a great start to the season but it's all gone wrong in their last three games. They have lost each of them and not against top sides either and conceded nine goals. They need to stop this slump but face a difficult away game at Bournemouth. The home side have only lost one league game and none at the Vitality Stadium. Not that many goals are being scored by them but they are strong defensively. Go for Bournemouth to win this match.
