14th placed Bournemouth are slowly edging their way towards Premier League safety. They host Leeds United who are 16th looking to make it four wins in five league games. The weekend begins with Bournemouth seven points clear of the bottom three and another win will take them to 39 points for the season and should keep them up. Thursday saw them beat local rivals Southampton 1-0 away and their only loss in the last four has been a 4-0 home loss to resurgent West Ham. The Cherries have won two and lost two of their last four home league fixtures, making it five wins for the season. They lost the reverse fixture against Leeds 4-3 despite leading that game 3-1 in the second half.

Leeds United drew at home to Leicester City in midweek after conceding a late goal. They are only a point above the bottom three and face an anxious final five games just as they did when narrowly surviving relegation last season. Defending has been a big problem for them all season just as is the case with their opponents. Both teams have conceded 63 league goals this season. They do continually get on the scoresheet themselves with the last eight games all seeing both teams score. That stat has come up in each of the last three on the road.
