At the time of wriitng this preview, Burnley are one place above the Premier League relegation zone and five points clear of Cardiff City who play at Manchester City on Wednesday evening. They probably still need a couple more league wins before they can feel totally safe from the prospect of going down to the Championship. They don't have an easy run-in  with half of their final six games being against sides in the top six. Points from this game and most definitely the home match against Cardiff on April 13 are of vital importance. Burnley have been strugging all season and had lost four successive league games before beating Wolves at home last weekend. Their away form has produced just two wins in their last 12 Premier League fixtures. Their three away league wins have all been against sides currently in the bottom six.

Bournemouth are 12th in the league and nine points away from the seventh position that could guarantee Europa League football next season. They are as inconsistent as ever but it's been their home form that has kept them out of a relegation battle. 26 points have been earned at home compared to just 12 on their travels. Current form isn't good though with only one win in their last eight league games and that was away at relegated Huddersfield Town. Home form has seen them only losing one of their last seven league games and that was to Manchester City. It takes a good team to get a win at Bournemouth with the only four teams to get a league victory there this season all being in the top five. A bet on a home win looks likely to be a winner in this match.
