by Kennedy Kechula in Premier League Predictions
Both Bournemouth and Brentford will be seeking to bounce back to winning ways this weekend, when they face off in the Premier League. These two sides face off at Bournemouth’s Vitality Stadium, with three places and six points separating them. At the start of matchday 29, the Cherries are on 44 points and the Bees on 38. Below we have a preview of the match and we will also offer two predictions of the possible outcomes.
A recent dip in form has seen Bournemouth’s chances of finishing in the European football places suffer a blow. They are now on three league matches without a win for the first time this season. However, trailing fifth place by just three points means there's all to fight for.
As for Brentford, they've certainly improved upon last season's 16th-place finish although haven't reached the highs of the team that broke into the top half in 2022/23. In now their fourth straight season of top flight football, the visitors will be aiming for a strong finish in the final 10 matches as they look to better their club-best ninth-place finish in the Premier League era.

Bournemouth - Brentford: Form Analysis
Bournemouth’s poor side showed up in their last game as they took a 2-0 lead at Tottenham only to allow it slip. After Evanilson’s 65th minute strike, adding on to Marcus Tavernier’s, it all seemed as Bournemouth would bounce back to winning ways.
Their hosts responded in kind, drawing level to leave the Cherries winless in their last four matches. One of those was an FA Cup game, which they needed penalties to go through. A game against Brentford will likely send more jitters down the Bournemouth spine.
In the last six meetings between the two sides, Bournemouth are winless. The hosts are also on two straight home defeats in the league and failed to score in three of five home league games.
Bournemouth have managed just four points in their last five matches.
Brentford haven't been at their best either, but they will carry into this game a level of optimism. In their last six matches against Bournemouth, they registered four wins. Five times in that run, they scored two goals or more, though they managed just two clean sheets in the six meetings.
The most recent, their reverse meeting, ended in a 3-2 win for the Bees. Ahead of this game, however, Brentford are winless in the last two matches.
They lost 1-0 at home to Aston Villa, right after their 1-1 home draw with Everton. It is easily noticeable that Brentford have enjoyed playing away from home more, therefore, this will be a welcome outing. They have four straight away wins and are unbeaten in five.

Bournemouth & Brentford Squad Analysis
The creativity in this Bournemouth side is massive. In the last starting 11, each player save the goalkeeper has had a goal involvement this season.
Of them all, the highlight is Justin Kluivert, their leading scorer.
The forward has 12 goals and six assists in the Premier League. His goals are a result of 56 shots, 50% of which were on target. His goal threat is more pronounced in the fact that he has an expected goals return of 9.85.
As Antoine Semenyo, Tavernier and Evanilson play support act, Kluivert will be a lethal threat to the opponents.
Brentford goalkeeper Flekken has had a goal involvement this season.
Bournemouth aren’t the only creative ones here; Brentford are clearly their rivals in that aspect. From the Bees’ starting team last week, only Kristoffer Ajer hasn’t had a goal or assist this season.
Even the keeper, Mark Flekken has an assist. In goals involvement, the pick at Brentford is Bryan Mbeumo. The Cameroonian has contributed to 19 goals, four of them being assists while he scored 15 times.
He is the team’s lead scorer and comes into this game with an xG of 8.86. Mbeumo has attempted 59 shots with 53% of them deemed on target.
