Bournemouth’s European ambitions were dented in their last outing but they have a chance to bounce back when they host Brentford. Brentford’s underwhelming season will see them just stay up, while Bournemouth will seek at least a top-half finish. At the end of an exciting game, Bournemouth left the Emirates beaten 3-0 by Arsenal last time out. The Cherries had their fair share of complaints from the game but reality is that they were second-best. At 36 points, they are 10 points above the relegation zone and Thomas Frank can start strategizing for next season. Unbeaten in four matches against Bournemouth, Brentford will come here hoping to extend this run. They had to come from behind in the reverse fixture to draw 2-2 with Bournemouth courtesy of a late Brian Mbeumo leveler. This time they may want to do their business early, even though at best, they can only finish 15th. The London side isn’t coming into this game on a very strong run; they failed to score in their last two matches. The most recent of those, their 0-0 draw with Fulham at home. This latest result left Brentford on just two wins in their last 13 matches. At this rate, their unbeaten run against Bournemouth in the Premier League is under threat. Brentford haven't been great on their travels either, with just four wins on the road this season.
