A big clash in the Brasileirao this weekend sees Botafogo host Internacional at Estadio Nilton Santos. Internacional arrive as league leaders after five games (although Vasco are only two points behind with a game in hand) thanks to four wins and only one defeat. Botafogo are six points behind in 11th place but they have a game in hand and are also unbeaten with one win and three draws. The home side were unlucky not to pick up a second victory in their previous outing, a 1-1 draw at Flamengo. Gabriel Barbosa saved the blushes of the reigning champions with a penalty in the eighth minute of stoppage time. Botafogo's only win of the campaign thus far came in their only home league game prior to this one, which bodes well for Fogão. Internacional's previous match was a 1-0 home win over Atletico Mineiro. It was their fourth clean sheet in five matches and also saw Thiago Galhardo continue his scoring run. The midfielder will be a player Botafogo's defence keeps an eye on as he has now scored three goals in his last two appearances.
