Their opponents began the night in the relegation zone so a Dortmund defeat certainly wasn't expected. Their lead at the top of the table has been cut to six points but they can make it nine again with a home win over Borussia Monchengladbach. Dortmund have won seven and drawn one at home in the Bundesliga this season and have scored at least twice in all of those home matches.
Their opponents have an even better home record and their 2-0 win over Nurnberg on Tuesday made it eight out of eight. Their big problem is the fact they seem unable to reproduce their home form on the road. They have only won two out of eight away matches with only one win in the last four and defeats at Freiburg and Leipzig.
