Borussia Dortmund’s title credentials will get a tough test when action in Bundesliga resumes after the international break; they are set to host RB Leipzig on Match Day 28. Ahead of this game Dortmund are second in the league standings with 57 points, 12 ahead of fourth placed Leipzig. Dortmund are six points behind leaders Bayern Munich and a win here will go a long way in boosting their confidence in the title race, with Bundesliga being the only competition that they are still in. With seven matches to play, they need all they can have at this point in time but one player they will miss, once again, is Erling Harland, who limped off Norway’s friendly match against Armenia. Ahead of the international break, they were unbeaten in six matches, the most recent being a draw with FC Cologne. Two draws in the last five league matches have seen them cede crucial ground to Bayern Munich and they’ll hope to do better here. They’ve won eight of their last 10 league matches at home though and in this they’ll be very confident. 

RB Leipzig had a very poor start to the season but have recovered well and will be eyeing a double over Borussia Dortmund, having won 2-1 in the first meeting this season. Their two matches against Spartak Moscow in the Europa League were canceled so they haven’t played as many games as Dortmund lately. That may not count for much heading into this game on the back of the international break. Leipzig haven’t registered a lot of wins in this fixture; in 12 meetings they’ve managed just three wins. They go into this with two draws in their last three matches while they have an unbeaten run of six league matches ahead of this one. In the 10 league matches they’ve played this year, Leipzig have only lost once - to Bayern Munich - and won seven of those 10. They have failed to score in just one of the last 10 league matches, their last game before the international break - a 0-0 draw at home to Eintracht Frankfurt. Away from home, they have three straight wins and four in five, which should give them confidence going into this game.
