Borussia Dortmund vs Eintracht Frankfurt Prediction & Betting Tips - Bundesliga

Gameweek 26 in the Bundesliga will see Borussia Dortmund playing host to Eintracht Frankfurt on Sunday afternoon. This is a crucial battle in the race for European qualification, with the hosts currently in fourth place while the visitors are sixth. After a very poor start to the 2023-24 season, Dortmund seems to have found their form again and need to keep it going with the top half of the table still being very compact. As it stands, they are on 47 points after 25 games, six points behind third-placed Stuttgart and just one above fifth-placed RB Leipzig. BVB will head into this encounter with confidence, though, having punched their ticket to the quarter-final of the Champions League in midweek, beating PSV 2-0 to claim a 3-1 aggregate win. That was also their third straight win in all competitions. In league terms, Dortmund’s last match ended in a 2-1 win over Werder Bremen last weekend, while over their last ten, they’ve suffered just one loss along with three draws and six wins. The reverse fixture ended 3-3 back in October but the hosts are the clear favourites in this one. 

Meanwhile, Eintracht Frankfurt saw their European campaign brought to an end last month when they were knocked out in the playoff round by Union Saint-Gilloise. Since then, though, they have excelled domestically, drawing 2-2 against Wolfsburg before notching up back-to-back wins over Heidenheim and, most recently, Hoffenheim. With those results, The Eagles are now unbeaten in their last five league games (W2 D3 L0) and have conceded just one loss in their last ten. Frankfurt occupy the final European qualification spot with 40 points after 25 games, trailing Leipzig by six, while they are seven clear of Hoffenheim in seventh place. On the road this season, the visitors have taken 17 points from a possible 39 with a record of four wins, five draws, and four losses. They have failed to beat this opponent in their last five attempts (W0 D1 L4) and have been outscored 17-8 during that time.
